First Time Guest

Visiting a church for the first time can be a frightening experience.  What's the music like?  Where do I go? What can I expect? What if I have children?  We want your experience at First Baptist to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Here are a few questions many first time guest often ask.

  • What's the music like?

  • How Do I Get To FBC Springville?

First Baptist is located at 980 Robinson St. in Springville. We are located on top of the hill behind the elementary and middle school. First Baptist cannot be seen from Hwy 11. Three roads will get you to the church; Wilson St., Pine St., and Robinson St. Please Note: Two of these streets (Wilson and Pine) are one way streets on days schools are in session but not on Sundays or Wednesday nights.

  • When Should I Come?

While you are always welcome anytime the church meets, we recommend your first time visit be a Sunday Morning Worship Service. We call this the "Front Door" to FBC. It offers the most accurate picture to our church body. It is helpful to arrive at-least  a few minutes early to get a good seat.

  • Where Do I Go?

The Sunday morning worship service meets in the main sanctuary. This is the brick building in the middle of our church campus with a white steeple on top. Once you park, a greeter will meet you at the front door with a worship guide and help you find a seat.

  • What If I Have Children?

We offer childcare for each worship service for children up to age 12. Our nursery is a located in the educational wing of our church and provides a time of discipleship for children up to K3. K4/K5 meets downstairs in little chapel for a worship service and 1st grade through 5th meets in the Children's Ministry Area for FBC Kidz Worship. Our greeters will be happy to take you to any of these areas.

  • What Can I Expect?

FBC is a church specializing in blended worship and dynamic Biblical preaching. The service begins at 10:30 am and ends at 11:30 am. Most people will be dressed in business casual attire. You can expect a welcoming congregation that is most interested in you and your families spiritual growth.

  • Can I Meet A Pastor?

Yes! Every Sunday our Lead Pastor stands at the back door greeting people as they leave the worship service. If you desire to speak with a pastor at length, fill out a visitors card (located in the back of each pew) and you will  be contacted soon. To set up a personal appointment with a Pastor please contact the church office at 205-467-7979 to check availability.

  • How Do I Join?

We offer a New Members Class on Sunday Mornings at 9:15 am for new prospective members. This is a 3 to 6 session personal class with a pastor. The goals of this class are to get to know each other better, talk about salvation, set forth the vision of the church, and set expectations. Please speak with one of our pastoral staff to sign up.
